Try everything and if they don’t like it, it is okay.
The scott Joplin Festival is an iconic Sedalia event that I not only grew up around but worked at. For this reason, I wanted to create a series of posters and a pamphlet to offer to the festival to utilize.
The festival didn’t want to utilize it this year, but it was a great project to do on the side to improve my typography skills.
The Process
The finished pieces are stunning, but they evolved through the process and bellow are some of the first ideas in the order of first concept to last.
